Research: Opening scenes

    Today I continued my research for my film introduction. I wanted to get a sense of the type of introduction I would be creating so I started searching for some inspiration from opening scenes of popular movies. I found a video listing 6 different ways that films can open and highlighting the benefits of each one. One of the ways that really stood out to me was the "flip genre opening" which is a opening scene which blend genres and can create a scene that sort of tricks the viewer into thinking the story is one genre while it is a different one or a mix of both. This could be a great choice for my film introduction as it could create a very interesting effect on the viewers. I intend to further my research in the coming days and potentially explore some of the different genres I should use.
